The product and supplier search is the most important and time consuming process. The longer you engage with suppliers the better understanding you will have if they are right for you. For important finishes like flooring, importing samples is recommended. High quality videos are also very useful. You have the option of using my recommended suppliers.
As an example, windows and doors need to be made to Australian standards and so does the glass. You dont want your building inspector rejecting your windows.
To determine what your final costs will be you need to select businesses to get your products from the overseas suppliers to you. I have recommended logistics providers that I have had good experiences with.
With products and suppliers determined, we can get quotes from logistics suppliers and determine what the final costs will be of your products.
Once you are happy with all the estimated costs and timelines you can place your orders with suppliers and make the first payments.
Once your products are shipped you will work with your logistics suppliers to track your orders and coordinate when you want your products delivered. Your final costs will come from you local logistic provider once they deliver your goods

Custom windows and doors were among the first products I sourced. They offered substantial potential savings, but required careful attention to dimensions, glazing specifications, documentation and shipping protection.
The custom Carrara marble basin and leaf-pattern stone tiles demonstrate one of the advantages of overseas sourcing: access to products and finishes that may be difficult to find locally.
With limited options in Australia, this high-quality HRVS made for the European market was a great find. The savings were really signficant due to the uncompettive market in Australia.
I went with Hybrid flooring for my place as it is DIY install friendly. I first imported samples to make sure I got the colour, texture and feel I wanted. Landed my flooring to close to half the cost of local equivalents.
This tapware is made to Australian standards and features the mandatory water marks. I found only highend tiles like these decorative small wall tiles are worth importing over sourcing locally.
